State Chamber of Oklahoma wins tenth national award for membership growth

The State Chamber of Oklahoma last week won its tenth national award in as many years for membership growth from the Association of State Chamber Professionals (ASCP).

In addition, ASCP named as its 2019-20 President-Elect Stephanie Snyder, Vice President of Membership at the State Chamber of Oklahoma. Snyder has served on ASCP’s board for three years. The award and announcement came during the association’s 2019 Annual Meeting held in Denver last week.

“I am honored to serve ASCP and look forward to continuing to represent Oklahoma,” Snyder said. “Since 1926, no other organization has represented Oklahoma’s business community more prominently than the State Chamber of Oklahoma. I am proud to continue doing so on the national level.”

At the same event, the Council of State Chambers (COSC) recognized Fred Morgan, State Chamber of Oklahoma President and CEO, for his service the past two years to COSC as its Chair of the Board of Directors.

“It’s been an honor to serve COSC the past two years,” Morgan said. “I am certainly proud of the accolades the State Chamber has received on the national level, but I am particularly proud of our advocacy and accomplishments we’ve seen at the Oklahoma Capitol. Honors on the national level are only possible thanks to our work at the state Capitol on behalf of our incredible members.”
