Oklahoma City (April 25, 2019) – After Gov. Kevin Stitt signed into law House Bill 2366, Fred Morgan, president and CEO of the State Chamber of Oklahoma, released the following statement:

“Kudos to Gov. Kevin Stitt for signing House Bill 2366 into law. The governor will now be able to choose from the best and brightest candidates across the state when there are openings on our state’s highest court.”

“From the perspective of the business community, this is a great first step toward an unbiased and balanced judicial system comprised of the most talented candidates. However, it’s obvious from the decision this week in Beason v. I.E. Miller Services, Inc. that there is still a long way to go.”
