State Chamber of Oklahoma praises LOFT inclusion in budget proposal

Oklahoma City (May 13, 2019) – After Gov. Kevin Stitt and the Oklahoma House of Representatives released a budget proposal including funding for the Legislative Office of Fiscal Transparency (LOFT), Fred Morgan, president and CEO of the State Chamber of Oklahoma, released the following statement:

“It’s great to see the inclusion of the Legislative Office of Fiscal Transparency (LOFT) in this budget proposal. This has been a top priority for the State Chamber of Oklahoma and a key part of our OK2030 plan.”

“For too long, the state budget has been beset by massive amounts of dollars thrown at state agencies with little accountability. Hopefully, with LOFT and other reforms passed this session, we can focus on making state government more accountable and transparent.”
