State Chamber of Oklahoma names Kinsey Westwood as its new Vice President of Government Affairs

The State Chamber of Oklahoma announced today that Kinsey Westwood will serve as its new Vice President of Government Affairs.

Westwood will lead the State Chamber’s efforts at the state Capitol on human resources and labor law, legal reform, and workers’ compensation.

“Workers’ comp, labor laws, and legal reform will all be high priorities for the State Chamber this coming session,” said Fred Morgan, President and CEO of the State Chamber. “Kinsey’s background and experience at the state Capitol make her the perfect advocate for our members, and we are excited to welcome her to our team.”

“I am very excited about the opportunity presented to me,” Westwood said. “The law can be nebulous, especially when it comes to human resources, workers’ comp, and labor issues. I’m ready to hit the steps of the state Capitol and fight for our members.”

Westwood completed her undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State University and received her J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. No stranger to the Oklahoma Capitol or public policy, Westwood previously worked for two agricultural membership organizations, serving as legal counsel and directing public policy and research. Westwood went on to manage two successful political campaigns. Westwood also ran her own consulting firm, 46 Capitol Services.
