State Chamber of Oklahoma Holds Annual Meeting

Hundreds gather to hear global best-selling author, Edie Weiner

Oklahoma City (June 20, 2017) – The State Chamber of Oklahoma held its annual meeting Wednesday at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. The meeting featured the installment of a new State Chamber Board of Directors Chairman, the election of a new Board and a keynote address from Edie Weiner, author of “FutureThink.”

Weiner spoke to a crowd of more than 500 people on the topic of preparing businesses for a rapidly-changing future by addressing our educated incapacities. “An educated incapacity is knowing so much about your business that you can’t see the future of it,” said Weiner. “We need to stop fixing businesses and start reimagining them for the future.”

The new Chairman of the State Chamber Board is Sean Trauschke, President and CEO of OGE Energy Corporation. “Sean will be a great asset as Board Chairman and will help lead us into OK2030,” said State Chamber CEO and President, Fred Morgan. Trauschke spoke to those assembled on the importance of a unified path forward for our state, led by the business community.
