State Chamber of Oklahoma Endorses Overseas Veteran

Oklahoma City (August 1, 2018) – The State Chamber of Oklahoma announced its endorsement of Jay Steagall for the Republican runoff election for Oklahoma’s State House District 43. He faces one other Republican in the August 28 runoff, and the winner will face a Democrat in the November election.

"Jay Steagall knows that our state needs direction and leadership now more than ever. As a Major in the Air Force Reserves and a local business owner, Jay will hit the ground running in the legislature to really move the needle for Oklahoma families,” said State Chamber President and CEO Fred Morgan.

Steagall, who has 22 years of military experience, was sent on his ninth deployment shortly after the candidate filing period in April and did not return to the U.S. until after the primary election.

Morgan continued, “A husband and father, Jay Steagall knows that providing a quality education to our children is essential for economic development and moving our state forward. We encourage voters to support Jay Steagall so that he can fight for the reforms that will make Oklahoma a better place to live, work and raise a family.”
