State Chamber of Oklahoma Applauds the Passage of Senate Bill 378 off the Senate Floor

Oklahoma City (March 5, 2019) – State Chamber President and CEO Fred Morgan released the following statement after the passage of Senate Bill 378 off the Senate floor:

“Oklahoma has thousands of unfilled jobs for commercial drivers,” said State Chamber President and CEO Fred Morgan. “Testing backlogs and delays for commercial drivers’ licenses create an annual economic loss of over $1.5 billion nationwide, including $5 million a year in lost wages in Oklahoma. Forty other states already have some form of third-party CDL testing, and we are proud to support Representative Frix and Senator Standridge as they aim to make sure Oklahoma remains competitive with the rest of the nation.”
