Pharmacy benefit managers and local pharmacies to be congratulated for their cooperation

Oklahoma City (May 6, 2014) – State Chamber Vice President of Policy Development and Government Affairs Jonathan Buxton made the following comment after the House accepted Senate amendments to House Bill 2100 today, sending it to the governor:

“The Oklahoma Pharmacists Association and the pharmacy benefit managers that negotiated this bill should be commended for working together to develop this compromise language. Patients will see enhanced cost savings provided by pharmacy benefit managers while still having access to local pharmacies. This bill is further proof that Oklahoma business works best when it works together.”
